About Me

A driven and versatile software engineer with over 7 years of experience in designing and developing large scale web and mobile applications. Proficient in full-stack development with experience in the LAMP stack, Java, and Android SDK optimization. Experienced with working in Agile environments to deliver scalable software solutions and enhanced user experiences. A strong background in debugging, API integration, and technical documentation with a passion for developing software and contributing to diverse projects.

Born in 1994 in South Africa, my family successfully immigrated to the USA in 1998, becoming citizens in 2008. My passion for computers started at a young age, inspired by my father's work in the Information Security industry, writing my first HTML code in middle school and experimenting with game development in highscool. I went on to University to study computer science and computer game design and development at one of the most prestigious technical schools in Georgia.
In 2012, I graduated highschool and started my university career at Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) where I studied Computer Science as a major, learning the basics of programming and software development.
In 2014, I changed my major from Computer Science to Computer Game Design and Development with a minor in Computer Science. I went on to learn about the video game industry, developing and programming video games, while learning various programming languages and data systems.
In 2015, SPSU was taken over by Kennesaw State University becoming "SPSU School of Computer and Software Engineering at KSU".
I graduated in 2016 with a bachelors degree in Computer Game Design and Development and a minor in Computer Science. From there, I went on to work for IDology, a fruad prevention company, as a full stack software engineer. IDology's business is "fraud prevention solutions" tailored to the client's needs, creating many different kinds of applications and web pages for customers to assist with fraud prevention. I worked at IDology for 7 years, gaining first hand software development experience in an enterprise setting.
In 2023, I decided to move to Japan to immerse myself in a different culture, gain more life experience, and gain a new perspective. Since then, I have been working as an English teacher, a software developer, and an AI data trainer, further expanding my skills and knowledge. I've also been learning new frameworks and working on various programming projects to build my portfolio and stay up to date with the latest in the development field.

This portfolio, powered by PHP and React.js, along with the projects I have worked on, stand as a demonstration of my capabilities as a software developer.
